Tour description

To make the tour to Machupicchu, it is advisable to be in the city a day earlier because of the degree of difficulty. For this adventure we will use the train service.

We will pick you up from your hotel at 06:00 am by bus to go to Ollantaytambo, there we will board the train to Machu Picchu (2000 masl), the trip lasts two hours. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo our guide will be waiting for us, once the whole group is reunited we will go to the bus station to go to the citadel of Machupicchu, we will ascend approximately 400m. Heights by a zigzag path for a time of 30 minutes until you reach the checkpoint. In the citadel we will have two guided hours, we will climb to the highest part of the agricultural sector to enjoy panoramic views, then we will visit the main square, the Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb and Temple of the Three Windows, the Temple of the Condor, the Inti Huatana (astronomical observatory) and the industrial sector. After this tour you will have free time to take your pictures. We will coordinate where you would like to have lunch, if you wish you can do it in the Hotel Santuario Lodge (you must indicate it in advance) or you can do it in the town where we will have more options of restaurants. At 4:00 p.m. we will board the return train from the town of Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting to continue the trip by bus to the city of Cusco.

04:30 am pick up from our customers (passengers) from their hotels in the City, to leave with Ollantaytambo destination (1 ½ hours of travel approx.) We arrive at the station to board the train to Aguas Calientes (2 hours of travel approx. .) we arrive, and immediately we will board the bus that will take us to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu (20 min, approximately).

Arrival to Sanctuary of the Incas, our visit will be guided by a professional, we will visit the most important places of the Sanctuary as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Rooms, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Cemeteries Real (2 ½ visit time). After the guided tour, the guide will indicate the timetable for picking up the train to Cusco.

In this period you will have time available to visit Machu Picchu on your own. Approx. 03:00 pm. We will board the bus to Aguas Calientes where we have lunch, in the afternoon we will know a little more the town of Aguas Calientes before boarding the train to Ollantaytambo, finally we will board the Bus to the Cusco city, 10:00 pm Approx.

Arrival to the city of Cusco and transfer to your hotels.

On this tour, passengers are picked up from your hotel from 03:50 am. Then we go to Ollantaytambo – train station to continue our trip to the town of Aguas Calientes (1h 30 min trip) by train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes arriving to the bus station in Aguas Calientes, where we will board the bus that will take us to the citadel of Machupicchu¸ (½ hours of travel approx.) later they will be guided in Machu Picchu for approx. 2hs, inside the archaeological site we will visit the most important places of this citadel MACHU PICCHU; like the Agricultural Sector, the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Inti Watana and the Temple of the Three Windows. After the guided tour, you will have plenty of time to visit Machu Picchu on your own. At about 1:00 p.m. we will be taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes where they will be able to have lunch (lunch not included) in the afternoon hours will have time to visit the town of Aguas Calientes, return by train to Ollantaytambo according to the departure of your train.
