Live the experience of knowing the floating Uros islands, Amantani and Taquile in Lake Titicaca. After visiting the floating islands we continue to the island of Amantani (3 hours of navigation), it is here where we will spend the night staying in family homes, who will be our hosts and will also provide us with lunch and dinner upon arrival. The next day we will continue to the island of Taquile where we will have an exhibition of fine textiles recognized as “Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity”, we close the activity with a typical lunch.

  • Recommended to sleep one night on the island of Taquile, with activities of the day of the settlers and visits to archaeological sites.

Tour description

There are around 90 floating islands in the Uros. In the tour, we will visit two Uros floating islands. After to get the explanation, you will have free time to walk around the island, to have a ride on their curious reed rafts (optional activity). We will go to Amantani Island, we will share some activities with the host family, we will take a walk to visit one of the most representative temples of the island that remains at the top and the next day after breakfast, we will visit Taquile Island where we will enjoy lunch.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
– If you find children asking for sweets, it is recommended not to do so, this is because there is no adequate dental care and the medical posts have very different working hours than in the city.

– If you have brought bottles of water or soda on your tour, it is important to bring back the plastic bottles, it will help enormously with the care of the island and the environment; you can deposit plastic bottles in the garbage can of the boat or deposit them in the baskets that are in the port of Puno.
