Destination guide of the city of Puno: Where to go and what to see?

The city of Puno, is located in the Bay of Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca and approximately (3,827 meters above sea level) considered “Capital of Peruvian Folklore” or “Cradle of the Inca Empire” and home to the Feast of the Virgin of Candelaria and rest on the shores of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.

Lake Titicaca
Lake Titicaca is one of the most important natural heritages in the world, besides being a source of resources for the communities that inhabit the surrounding area, who maintain their ancestral customs and traditions.

Islands of Lake Titicaca
There are a variety of islands created by an aquatic plant that grows in Lake Titicaca, called Totora (like the well-known totora boats). These floating islands are inhabited by communities that live from fishing and the ancestral culture linked to the lake.
