The charm of the countryside and history on the shores of Titicaca Lake is fully lived in Llachón, its peculiar craftsmanship and unique colorful embroidered garments are typical creations, typical of the peninsula. They emphasize the monteras (hats), the vests called “Juyonas” for the ladies and vests for the men, the blankets or “chucos” among other garments. They also emphasize the works chiseled in stone. 

The harmony of the countryside – lake landscape invites you to sail the lake in sailboats. You can see typical dances, pre Incas tombs, and magical religious place, feel adventure and ecological tourism with walks, climbing and in your journey you will find natural viewpoints.

At first they were only observers of the development of the tourist activity but they are participants of this activity, some families have adapted their houses with the intention of offering rural accommodation within the living nature and on the shores of Titicaca Lake.

Tour description

DAY 1

7:00 am we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the port of Puno, we will embark with direction to the island of the Uros where you can learn the customs and traditions of this impressive island then we will go to Llachon, upon arrival we will take you to the family local who will provide the accommodation. After lunch you can enjoy a cultural demonstration of traditional weaving techniques by the artisans of Llachon.

At the end of the demonstration we will make a gentle walk to the Qeskapa  viewpoint, this walk will last approximately 30 minutes, when you are in the viewpoint you can enjoy the sunset in our immense and beautiful Lake. In the evening you will receive your dinner prepared based on traditional foods of the area.

DAY 2

At 9:00 am after breakfast we will walk to the top of Carus Hill, the hike will last about an hour and a half and is of medium difficulty. From there you can appreciate the agricultural terraces of the Capachica peninsula and our beautiful lake in all its splendor and magnitude.

Then we will go down to Chucarillo beach and sail on one of the fishermen’s boats to get to the restaurant where we will have lunch, the trip will last approximately 40 minutes. After lunch we will continue our trip back to Puno and arrive at approximately 3:30 p.m.

08:00 Departure from Puno to Uros Island.
8:30  Arrival to Uros Island. There explanation and time off.
11:30 Arrival to Llachon peninsula and meet with local family.
12:30 Lunch provided by local family.
Explanation.
Activities: demonstration of costums, techniques of weaving and spinning by the local families. Then time off.
19:30 Dinner provided by local family.
Homestay/Overnight.
2nd Day
07:30 Breakfast
08:30 Walk to the top of CARUS hill (to appreciate a beautiful view of the shores of the lake and the agricultural terraces) (medium difficulty).
Sailing in artisanal fisherman’s boat. 

 

12:00 Lunch 
15:30 Arrival to Puno city and transfer to hotel.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The ride on Totora rafts has a cost you must make sure of the price before performing the service.

You will often find children asking for tips, please do not give money them unless you buy some survenir that they make. In addition give them candies or sweets are not recommended, consuming this needs oral care that is not available on the island (due to the circumstances). The medical posts service has an irregular attention schedule.

The islands usually have very slippery surfaces, always walk carefully.

It is not recommended for people who have cardiovascular disease, its safety and well-being is very important.

Any plastic bottle or trash generated by you must bring it back, leave it on the island means to contaminate it, as well as cause more work to the people who already have a difficult and hard work in their lifestyle.
